Early Childhood Education
We’re Building Foundations for Life!

The Early Childhood Education Program provides a high quality, project based learning, preschool program for families in

our community. We offer special education preschool programs as well as a part-day preschool program for four-year-old

children whose families meet *State income eligibility requirements.

*State law (Chapter 38, Statutes of 2012) requires that effective July 1, 2012, families with children enrolled in part-day California State Preschool Program be assessed a family fee in accordance with current law. The amount of the family fee is assessed using the family fee schedule and based on the following factors: family income, family size, children enrolled in other programs that have assessed a family fee. (see family fee schedule link on the right side of the page)

We also have limited availability for families with income that exceeds the eligibility for State funded preschools within

our unsubsidized LAUP funded classroom.   Families enrolled in our LAUP classroom will be charged a LAUP annual

Parent Investment Fee (PIF) according to the Zip Code of the classroom (see LAUP Program Investment Fee link).

Enrollment is granted for our State preschool program in the following order (see CSPP admission priorities link):

·         Foster children/children in Child Protective Services/Homeless families as defined by the McKinney-Vento

Act/Families receiving public assistance (TANF or SSI)

·         Income eligible four year old children with IFSPs or IEPs

·         Income eligible four year old children
