  • Preschool Office Closed

    Hello Preschool Families,

    Preschool classrooms will be closed from Monday, March 23 thru Friday, April 3 in observation of Spring Break. They will reopen on Monday, April 6.

     

    Preschool ECE office will be closed from Monday, March 23 thru Monday, March 30 in observation of Spring Break. We will reopen on Tuesday, March 31.

    Hola Familias Pre-escolares,

    Los salones del pre-escolar estarán cerrados del lunes 23 de marzo al viernes 3 de abril en observación del descanso de primavera. Reabrirán el lunes 6 de abril.

     

    La oficina del pre-escolar estará cerrada del lunes 23 de marzo al lunes 30 de marzo en observación del descanso de primavera. Reabriremos el martes 31 de marzo.

  • Open Enrollment continues

    CLICK HERE FOR 2019-2020 APPLICATION INFORMATION

    Enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year continues. There are a limited amount of spots still available.

    The pre-screening and enrollment process for the 2019-2020 school year continues. This is an an income based program.  Income eligibility is established for each family through the pre-screening process.  Once screened for eligibility each family is provided with a rank.  Enrollment and ranking determine placement.  All eligible children who turn 4 by September 1, 2019 will be placed in classrooms based on ranking.  If all eligible 4 year olds are placed and space is available, children who turn 3 by September 1, 2019 will be placed in a classroom based on ranking.  All eligible children not placed in classrooms, once full will be placed on the waitlist.  Children on the waitlist will be called for placement as space becomes available.  Placement from the waitlist will go in priority order in accordance with Tittle 5 regulations.

    The ECE Office hours are M-F 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    Prescreening process is reviewed:

    Monday-Friday 8:00am -4:00pm

    ABOUT QSLA:

    Quality Start Los Angeles (QSLA) is a voluntary Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) for early learning providers in Los Angeles County that serve children ages birth to age five. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), First 5 LA, the Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles (CCALA), Child360, and the County of Los Angeles Office for the Advancement of Early Care and Education. QSLA is funded by the California Department of Education and First 5LA to increase the number of children in LA County who are enrolled in high quality early learning programs. QSLA aims to improve the program quality of participating centers and family child care homes by offering instructional supports and incentives for programs, teachers and administrators to reach higher levels of quality.
