DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP

In accordance with The Children Internet Protection Act (CIPA) passed by the FCC, students in Lancaster School District are educated about appropriate online behavior. Topics include: interacting on social networking websites, cyberbullying awareness and response, copyright laws, keeping personal information secure, and evaluating digital resources.

Lesson plans were chosen from Common Sense Media. This organization in cooperation with Harvard School of Education designs lessons for public schools to use free of charge. These lesson can be used at home by parents or guardians. Students enrolled in Lancaster School District receive instruction in digital citizenship.
