• El Dorado Families,

Please be aware of the following important message sent out March 13:

"This  is Ms. Newlander calling with an important announcement on behalf of Mr. Coleman and El Dorado Elementary School.

Superintendent Dr. Bowers released information regarding the Coronavirus or  COVID-19 and the current plan of action for Lancaster School District.
School remains in session and students are encouraged to attend school unless they are ill.

Lancaster School District administration has reviewed the list of planned activities and field trips to assess risk factors associated with the number of students traveling, the mode of transportation, the venue serving the activity, and nature of the activity. Based upon this analysis and out of an abundance of caution for the well-being of students and staff, the following events have been postponed through July:

    • Open House events
    • Any assemblies or other special events that involve gathering in large numbers
and/or inviting many visitors to campus
    • All field trips (including competitions and road shows to other schools)
    • Large enrollment events (i.e. round ups, etc.)

What that means for El Dorado Elementary School is the Enrollment Event, Open House, field trips and assemblies have been cancelled.  As new information develops we will keep you updated.

Safety is El Dorado’s priority and we are doing everything we can to ensure a clean facility. Custodians have been advised to double up on the sanitation of student’s desks and chairs along with door handles. All bathrooms are closely monitored to ensure soap dispensers are filled.  Hand sanitation stations are also monitored with additional stations on order. Please remember to tell your students to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds regularly.

If you have any questions, please give us a call through the front office at 942-8487."
