• Supporting Immigrant Families

  • Lancaster School District remains committed to providing safe, inclusive learning spaces for all our students, regardless of immigration status. We recognize our students, their families, and our employees' families may be affected by potential changes to immigration policies.

As we continue to navigate the potential impact immigration enforcement can have on our educational setting, our goal is to assist you with an understanding of how to best support our students and families as it relates to their educational experience. To guide us in this work, we will be using our school board policy and administrative regulations (BP 5145.13 & AR 5145.13), which provide a clear protocol and guidelines regarding our response to immigration enforcement.

Please remember our primary focus is to create a positive and respectful environment where all students feel valued and safe. If you encounter any students or families who may be struggling with these issues, please direct them to the appropriate resources at your site (students to School Counselors and families to Family Ambassadors and Community Liaisons). Together, we can ensure that every student and family in our district are informed of their rights and feel supported.

We reaffirm our commitment to valuing and respecting our diversity, building and strengthening our communities of care, and partnering to build a sense of belonging and connectedness. Thank you for your ongoing dedication to our students and their well-being.

    In Community,

    Dr. Paul Marietti
