Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Roundup

If your child will be 5 years old on or before December 2, 2012, it's time to register them for Kindergarten. Because of a new California law, the entrance birthday for Kindergarten is actually being moved back to November 1st beginning next year. However, the Lancaster School District is excited to be able to offer a new Transitional Kindergarten for those students whose birthdays fall between November 2 and December 2 (and, upon parent request and highly recommended, for any student whose birthday falls between September 2 and December 2). This new Transitional Kindergarten is the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program for our youngest Kindergarteners, providing them with a wonderful, solid foundation for their education in the Lancaster School District.
