Lancaster School District

Welcome to the Special Education Department, where every child is valued as an individual with unique strengths, needs, and aspirations. Guided by our mission to provide all students with access to high-quality educational services that foster academic, personal, and social-emotional success, we are dedicated to supporting the whole child. Through a variety of supports and related services, we address learning, communication, adaptive, and social-emotional needs, always with the goal of empowering students to gain confidence, independence, and skills that will serve them well into the future.

We believe the most meaningful progress happens when schools and families work together, and we are committed to building strong partnerships with you every step of the way. Through this collaboration, we create coordinated supports that ensure our students have access to rich educational opportunities alongside their peers. We embrace practices that provide students with a sense of belonging, recognizing that every child contributes to the strength of our learning community. Nothing is more rewarding than watching our students achieve new milestones, and we are honored to stand beside families celebrating each child’s success.

Every child belongs, every child thrives
