Board Member Training and Compliance
Ethics Training
Mandated Reporter Training
Members of the Board of Trustees are mandated reporters under California's Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act. In accordance with Senate Bill 848 (2025), effective July 1, 2026, and applicable provisions of the Education Code and Penal Code, Board members complete required annual mandated reporter training addressing the identification and reporting of suspected child abuse and neglect and other required pupil-safety topics. Records regarding completion of required training are maintained by the District.
Governance Training
California law establishes governance training requirements for local educational agency officials beginning in 2027. The District will ensure that members of the Board of Trustees complete applicable training within the timelines established by Education Code sections 35221–35223.
