About
At Lancaster School District, our Child Nutrition Services Department is committed to serving tasty, nutritious meals that support student success. Our goal is to provide a wide variety of healthy meals—prepared by caring, well-trained staff—in a clean and safe environment every school day. We proudly participate in the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. Breakfast and lunch are available to all students. Each individual school site establishes specific meal service times. Meal service times can be obtained by contacting the school site or the Child Nutrition Services Department. Thanks to these programs, we are able to offer complete, nutritious meals to all students at no cost.

Sun Bucks Application
California’s Summer EBT program, known as SUN Bucks, is returning in 2025. This food program provides families $40 per month for food in June, July, and August ($120 total) when children do not have access to school meals.
Most children who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals through a school meal application or Universal Benefits Application, or get CalFresh, CalWORKs, and/or Medi-Cal, are automatically enrolled. Children in foster care, and/or identified as experiencing homelessness are also categorically eligible and are automatically enrolled. Some children may need to sign up. Participating in SUN Bucks does not affect a family’s immigration status. Visit our FAQs page for more information.
