about
The Lancaster-Eastside Teacher Induction Program is a state-funded, locally designed program that provides an essential bridge between teacher preparation and the attainment of a California Clear Credential. Grounded in the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP) and aligned with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Induction Standards, our program supports the growth and development of newly credentialed teachers while ensuring a pathway to professional licensure.
Key program components include:
-
Individualized Mentoring: Each candidate is paired with a trained, experienced Mentor who provides guidance, encouragement, and support tailored to the teacher’s professional context and needs.
-
Structured Program Design: Program elements include "just in time" mentoring, the development and implementation of an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP), and a focus on reflective practice aligned with the CSTP.
-
Ongoing Professional Learning: Participants engage in targeted professional development that supports their self-identified goals as well as the instructional priorities of their school, district, and community.
Through these elements, the Lancaster-Eastside Teacher Induction Program fosters reflective, equity-minded, and effective educators who are prepared to positively impact student learning and thrive in California’s diverse classrooms.
