Families
Dear Community,
Lancaster School District has served students of the Antelope Valley in preschool through eighth grade since 1885. We consist of nearly 15,000 students in five middle schools, thirteen elementary schools, and several specialized and alternaitve programs.
Lancaster School District strives to create positive learning environments where students expereince supportive and secure relationships. We are committed to amplifying achievement for all children, regardless of their circumstances, through social, cognitive, and academic connections with an emphasis on physical and mental health.
Lancaster School District believes human relationships are the essential ingredient and the catalyst for healthy development and learning. We feel our emphais on addressing student needs has a direct impact on learning. Focusing on children's social and emotional needs, along with academics, allows our students to be active learners and build on their knowledge through experience, relationships, and social context.
The commitment guiding this Strategic Plan is based on the belief that our primary role is to ensure that ALL Lancaster students are prepared for their life journey. The creation of an aligned plan allows us to focus our efforts districtwide so that we are all working together toward the same goals.
The plan is organized by our newly established goals, articulates our LCAP aligned commitments, and identifies specific strategies we will embark on together.
