• PBIS at RISE

  • At RISE, all students are expected to follow the same set of expectations through all areas in the school. These expectations are displayed as a matrix throughout the school. Our students are expected to Follow Directions, Stay on Task, M.Y.O.B., and Control Their Body.

When students follow these expectations, they are recognized by our staff and are awarded “Sun Dollars.” Students are able to spend their Sun Dollars at our student store once a week to purchase items and activities. In order to participate in the student store, students must achieve 75% of their weekly points by showing an understanding and practice of the 4 RISE expectations.

Students who struggle meeting these 4 expectations will experience an increased level of support from the teaching and support staff. These students will have the opportunity to have their needs met via daily check ins with the counselor (Check in Check Out), Student Study Team (SST) meetings, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), 504 plans, and Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Our teachers also help the students in the class by developing personalized interventions for our students in order to meet their needs. They do this by differentiating instruction, replacing undesirable  behavior with new behaviors, altering environments to help the students learn, redirecting maladaptive behavior, and acknowledging appropriate behavior more frequently.

If you feel that your child needs extra support or want more information on some of the information mentioned above, please reach out to our school counselors at 661-726-5454
