• Dear Parents, Guardians, Families and Students,

I am looking forward to serving you and your child as the Principal of El Dorado Elementary for the 2018-2019 school year.  As we begin, I would like to offer up a few things that will ensure that your child will have a positive and productive academic year.

At El Dorado Elementary, we have very high expectations of ourselves and believe that all students with academic, social, and emotional support can reach their fullest potential.  Our goal is to provide a caring and thoughtful academic learning space where teachers foster inquisitive learners with challenging curriculum. Each student will receive an equity-driven education that fully supports each child in researched based instruction and intervention.  Through PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports), we create a positive school culture where students are excited about school and also understand the value of excellent citizenship and behavior. With our dynamic staff and your parental support, your child will become a high achieving 21st Century learner who is a respectful and responsible citizen.

We are committed and dedicated in preparing students for college and careers alike.   In doing so, El Dorado is in its third year of AVID implementation for 4th and 5th grade and will be emphasizing organization and inquiry as tools for success. We have always been proud of our Visual And Performing Arts Program and we will continue to showcase our talents at future assemblies and at the Lancaster Center of Performing Arts.  We will also continue to offer an after school program called CARES for those parents who are in need of afterschool child supervision.

I have no doubt that together, we can make this an incredible school year.  We are committed to your child’s success and together we will make a difference.

    Todd Coleman
