It’s an honor to be your Assistant Principal this school year. A little about myself, Claudia Siques. I was born in Santiago, Chile and came to Lancaster at the age of 7. I grew up in the Antelope Valley. I was a student of El Dorado and Linda Verde Schools, Sage Middle School and a graduate of Paraclete High School. I moved to Northern California and earned my Bachelor’s Degree at Humboldt State University, my teaching credential at Chapman University, and my Master’s and Administration degrees at the University of La Verne. My career in education has extended over the 20 years as teacher at Desert View Elementary, teacher in San Francisco, and as administrator at Discovery.
My passions include art, history and traveling. I’ve been fortunate to have visited many continents and backpacked across Europe for a summer. I’ve visited art history museums all over the world. I’ve been with my spouse for 15 years and we have twin 7 year old boys. I’ve been the Assistant Principal at Discovery School since last school year and I look forward to another exciting school year.
