Endeavour Middle School
Good evening, Endeavour families!
This is principal Nosik with your weekly Sunday message.
I have some announcements to share for this week:
- No backpacks at school this week. Students may bring a small string bag to carry water, snacks, or necessities.
- Awards ceremony for 6th and 7th grades tomorrow, Monday, June 3rd. Last names beginning with letters A-L will begin at 5:00pm and last names beginning with letters M-Z will begin at 6:00pm. Please have your child check in at the table at the entrance to the gym before sitting down (only students present will be called). If your child is receiving an award, you should have received a Parent Square notice last week and a notification letter went home on Friday.
- 8th graders will have promotion practice on Monday and Wednesday this week. The promotion ceremony will be at the fairgrounds in the Hunter Pavilion on Thursday, June 6, beginning at 8:00am. Students should arrive at the fairgrounds no later than 7:30am.
- 6th and 7th graders will stay in their Period 1 or Period 2 classes on Thursday, June 6th. This is the last day of school and is a minimum day, with dismissal at 12:58pm. Final report cards will go home on this day.
- Please remember, all school rules still apply, and consequences will be given to those making poor choices this week. Promoting 8th graders can still lose their eligibility to participate in the promotion ceremony.
- All students must be in their assigned classes each period unless teachers have made arrangements and notified admin of the exceptions.
- It is district SPIRIT WEEK!
- Monday is Sports Day, Tuesday is Twin Day, Wednesday is STAFF/STUDENT Swap Day, and Thursday is Throwback DAY (Early 2000s).
- All Chromebooks, textbooks, and library books are now past due. If you still have these, please get them turned in ASAP. PE locks are also now past due. Any students with items not cleared by Thursday will have their report cards and promotion certificates held until the items are returned or paid for.
- 6th graders moving on to 7th grade must have an updated TDAP shot before starting 7th grade. There are no exceptions! Students will not be allowed on campus at the start of school if their immunization is not up-to-date.
- Registration for the 2024-2025 school year continues. All returning students must be reregistered in School Mint. Parents will be updating contact information as well as health information. 8th grade parents will receive registration information from the Antelope Valley High School District via mail.
- Zero period classes are available again for the 24-25 school year, for both PE and Art. These classes require a pre-registration sign-up form, available outside the admin office and on the school website. We must meet minimum enrollment numbers to offer these classes, so get your forms in early.
- Students, if you are having a conflict, don’t take it into your own hands. Avoid the fight and contact a campus supervisor, counselor, or administrator for help.
It is with a somewhat conflicted heart that I deliver this Sunday Message, as it is my last Sunday Message as an Endeavour Raven. As many of you know, I am moving to an Assistant Principal position at Nancy Cory Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to be your principal for the past two years. I will truly miss this school community. I cherish the relationship we have built and hope for the continued success of our Ravens in the years to come. I know that you will welcome your new principal, Mr. Jorge Lopez, with the same warmth that you welcomed me upon my arrival at Endeavour.
Good night!
